Tips for Logo Design

Usually logo design is a visual representation of a graphic or text or a combination of both of them which gives an identity to a company or business and their products and make them stand out from others and look unique among others. Logo helps very effectively in branding a company as it creates a visual recognizable identity for a company.

There are extensive artistic potential that the logo designers get too exited in creating a logo for a company that they over do it and actually fail in to meet the expectations. A logo should be designed by keeping in mind the factors like usage, application and the nature of the company. Here are some that will help you getting a grip on how to design a logo, make it look attractive and make it exactly the way company wants it to be.

Logo is an Identity of your Company/Business
Logo of a company or business is its primary identity. It should be designed in such a way so that it represents the nature, attitude, and type of the business or company in the best way possible. The logo designed should look always fresh and in the trend and current fashion. You also need to think about where and how you are going to use it before creating it, and then create it in such a way that it meets all the requirements and suits your business and its environment.

Keep it simple!
Always keep in mind before designing a logo that it is a symbol, an identity of your company/business and not a piece of art or something like that so does not make it complicated. As if a logo is designed complicatedly then it is very difficult to remember. So why not keep it simple!

Use Colors Carefully
Try not to use many colors in your logo even if the logo designing company is charging less for the colors they are using in the logo. More colors used in logo makes it look beautiful on web but when you are trying to fax it with a document or are trying to print it out on a paper it will be in black and white, or if trying to print it in colors then it will cost more.

Use Simple Font
Fancy and artistic fonts may look great in your logo but keep it simple as it will make commercial reproduction and reprinting of your logo very easier. It will also be very easy to print it out from various printers that you may not have known at them time of creating the logo and printing it out from a particular printer. Keeping simple fonts gives your business logo a different and good look.

Use Vector Graphics in Logo
Always design a logo in the vector format as it can be resized without loosing its image quality and the clarity it have. As logo is designed for business purpose it may be used in business cards and corporate stationery, websites, signage etc. and to use logo in this all things it needs to be resized and rescaled to fit its requirements. So always design logos in vector format.
